Draft IRS Audit Responses in Minutes, Not Days
AuditKit generates structured, IRS-compliant draft responses from your source documents — reducing manual drafting time and helping you manage a higher audit volume.
How AuditKit Works

Document Processing
Upload IRS Notice
Attach the CP75, CP75A, Letter 566, or equivalent IRS correspondence. AuditKit parses the notice type, requested documents, and deadline.

Inline Review
Edit draft responses in a structured editor. See the underlying source reference for each statement.
Response Templates
Pre-built templates for common audit types (AME, correspondence, office). Customize per client without starting from scratch.

Common Questions
Does AuditKit replace my professional judgment?
No. AuditKit generates draft responses for your review and editing. You remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of every submission. The tool assists with drafting, not with professional determinations.
What IRS notice types does AuditKit support?
AuditKit currently supports correspondence audits (Letters 566, 566-N, 586), notices requesting documentation (CP75, CP75A, CP75B), and摸CB-related notices. Support for office and field audit response drafting is on the roadmap.
The system recognizes over 40 common notice variants and structures responses to match the specific request categories listed.
How does the LLM verify factual accuracy?
AuditKit does not independently verify factual claims. The LLM generates drafts based on the documents you upload — returns, worksheets, and supporting records. All generated statements include source references pointing to the ingested document and page. The preparer is responsible for confirming that cited figures match the source documents before submission.
Is my client data used to train models?
No. Client documents uploaded to AuditKit are not used to train any language model. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). You can request data deletion at any time. AuditKit is SOC 2 Type II audited.
What file formats does AuditKit accept?
AuditKit accepts PDF, JPG, PNG, and TIFF for documents. Tax return files in PDF format are recommended. The system has limited support for Excel and CSV files — these should be converted to PDF before upload for best results.
Can I use AuditKit if I am not a CPA or EA?
Yes. AuditKit is available to any preparer or practitioner who prepares tax returns and handles IRS correspondence. There is no credential requirement to use the software. PTIN registration is required for tax preparation activities, which is separate from using this tool.
What does the free trial include?
The trial includes 10 draft response generations, full access to all features, and up to 5 client docket entries. No credit card is required to start. After the trial, you can subscribe monthly or annually. There is no automatic charge.
